A new NY1/Marist poll says the majority of New Yorkers are happy with the newly established marriage equality law and wouldn’t want to change it.
The poll says “55% of New York State residents support the new law, 36% oppose it, and 9% are unsure.” College graduates, young people, white people and people with higher incomes were more likely to support it.
In addition, 44% of voters would be more likely to support a senator who voted to pass the law, and 63% of voters said they would not like the law to be overturned.
Well, well, well.
Imagine that.
